How to Start the Adoption Process
- Pre‑Adoption Form – Before you can schedule a meet‑and‑greet, we ask you to complete our short online questionnaire. It helps us learn about your household, experience with pets, and the kind of environment you can provide.
- Application Review – We consider every submission carefully. Our volunteer team matches each applicant with the animal(s) that best fit your lifestyle, ensuring a safe, lasting placement for both you and the rescue animal.
- Adoption Contract – If your application is approved, the next step is to sign the official adoption contract. This legal agreement outlines responsibilities such as ongoing veterinary care, spay/neuter (if not already done), and a commitment to keep the pet in a loving, permanent home.
- Foster Agreement (Optional) – If you’d rather provide a temporary home while the animal awaits adoption, fill out the Foster Agreement instead. Fostering lets you give a dog a safe, nurturing environment for weeks or months, helping them recover, socialize, and become adoption‑ready.
